La scheda firewire 400 PCI Express è nella versione a basso profilo per inserimento su slot PCI Express x1, x2, x4, x8 e x16. Grazie al connettore 12 V DC è possibile l'utilizzo dell'alimentazione del bus per ricaricare o fornire alimentazione alle periferiche connesse al FireWire. L'installazione è Plug and Play.
